SUMMARY:Anti-Reflux Surgery Course (2nd Edition)
DESCRIPTION:     Sergiu Duca Training and Research Center\, together with the European Foregut Society (EFS)\, propose a course on anti-reflux surgery dedicated to both general surgery residents and specialist surgeons\, with an interest in upper gastrointestinal surgery\, focused on the management\, practical issues\, and technical aspects of anti-reflux surgery and hiatal hernia repair. The course will include theoretical presentations and discussions\, live surgeries\, and a hands-on workshop. An international panel of experts will be coordinating the course: Prof. Dr. Luigi Bonavina (Italy)\, Prof. Dr. Davide Bona (Italy)\, Prof. Dr. Moustafa Elshafei (Germany)\, Conf. Dr. Dragos Predescu (Romania)\, Dr. Petre Hoara (Romania)\, Dr. Victor Diaconu (Romania)\, Conf. Dr. Natalia Sipitco (Moldova)\, Dr. Călin Popa (Romania)\, Dr. Claus Bernhard Ablassmaier (Germany).\n\n     The course is intended for specialist surgeons or residents in training in the following specialties: General surgeons\, Gastroenterologists\, Anaesthesiologists\nThe participants can chose from two types of registrations: registrations including the hands-on workshop (12 places)\, or registrations limited to the theoretical sessions and live surgery – observer (70 places). Dr. Zaharie Florin \n     Scopul acestui Workshop este de a aduce la cunoștință atât medicilor rezidenți\, cât și medicilor specialiști sau primari\, ultimele noutăți privind managementul cancerului rectal precum și o aprofundare a tehnicilor chirurgicale laparoscopice implicate în această patologie. O însușire adecvată a tehnicilor minim-invazive în chirurgia rectului este esențială\, astfel\, acest workshop își propune a aduce în rândul cursanților\, atât cunoștințe teoretice cât și practice\, completate de punerea în practică pe modele porcine.\n     Durata Workshop-ului este de două zile. Prima zi va fi dedicată unei sesiuni de prezentări cu noțiuni teoretice privind managementul cancerului rectal\, fiind în paralel transmise live din sala de operație intervenții chirurgicale din sfera patologiei rectale maligne\, cu accentul pus pe timpii operatori cheie\,  cu discuții deschise la o masă rotundă privind cazurile abordate. În a doua zi\, cursanții vor avea la dispoziție modele animale porcine pentru a putea efectua timpii laparoscopici necesari în cadrul acestei chirurgii\, precum și efectuarea anastomozelor colo-rectale mecanice. Cursanții vor forma echipe de câte 3\, și vor pune în practică cunoștințele teoretice dobândite în cadrul sesiunii teoretice. \n     The aim of this Workshop is to present to resident\, specialist and consultant surgeons\, the new approaches regarding the management of rectal cancer as well as a walkthrough of the laparoscopic surgical techniques involved in this pathology. An adequate acquirement of theoretical as well as practical notions in the minimially-invasive treatment of rectal cancer is essential\, therefore this workshop aims to offer both to the participants\, complemented by their implementation on procine animal models.\n     The Workshop will take place over two days. The first day will be dedicated for a series of theoretical presentations regarding the management of rectal cancer\, as well as live transmissions from the operating room with surgical interventions focused on the malignant rectal pathology\, with an open discussion initiated by a panel of experts regarding the aformentioned cases. On day two\, participants will have porcine models at their disposal in order to improve their practical skills and perform various surgical timings as well as practicing mechanical colo-rectal anastomoses. SUMMARY:Herniile primare abdominale: live surgery & hands-on workshop
DESCRIPTION:Acest Workshop are ca scopul de a aduce la cunoștința medicilor chirurgi rezidenți\, specialiști cât și primari noile abordările privind tehnicile laparoscopice de rezolvarea a herniilor primare ale peretelui abdominal\, în special hernia inghinală\, femurală\, ombilicală si parastomala. Având în vedere tendința actuală privind tehnicile minim invazive în chirurgia peretelui abdominal acest workshop va aduce în prim planul cursanților cunoștințe teoretice cât și practice\, completate de punerea lor în practică pe modele animale porcine.\nWorkshop-ul se va desfășura pe parcursul a doua zile: prima zi va fi dedicată transmisiei live din sala de operații a 4 intervenții chirurgicale iar în cea de-a doua zi cursanții vor avea la dispoziție modele animale porcine pentru a efectua procedee laparoscopice de protezare a peretelui abdominal. Cursanții vor avea șansa de a-și îmbunătăți abilitățile practice prin intermediul unei zile de program hands-on pe porci\, unde vor forma echipe de cate 2 și vor pune în practică cunoștințele teoretice dobândite cu o zi în urmă.\nNumărul de cursanți: 16. \nThe purpose of this Workshop is to inform and present to residents\, specialists and consultant surgeons the new approaches regarding laparoscopic techniques for solving primary hernias of the abdominal wall\, especially inguinal\, femoral\, umbilical and parastomal hernias. Considering the current trend regarding minimally invasive techniques in abdominal wall surgery\, this workshop will bring to the participants theoretical and practical knowledge\, complemented by their implementation on porcine animal models.\nThe workshop will take place over two days: the first day will be dedicated to the live transmission from the operating room of 4 surgical interventions and on the second day the participants will have at their disposal pig animal models to perform laparoscopic prosthetic procedures of the abdominal wall.
